Today while at the airport, I witnessed a total stranger walk up to a man in uniform and thank him for his service to our country.  I felt privileged to have seen the touching exchange.  I love those who serve in the military.  My grandfather served in World War 2, my brother served (also in Deseret Storm) and retired from the Army, and my sister served in the Air Force.  So I have a soft spot for our service men and women. 

Everyone has their own way of supporting and thanking those who serve our great country.  I think Operation Write Home's program is an amazing way to thank AND help lift the spirits of those who serve and their families with the creative cards that are lovingly made.   Here's link to Operation Write Home's Memorial Weekend Blog Hop to see all the talented people, click HERE to see all the  cards!

Basketball is one of my Top 3 favorite sports. I'm definitely a fan of this set! Watch for more basketball projects to come in the near future.

Operation Write Home is an amazing organization that supports our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as gratitude to encourage them. One of my favorite places to visit on the Operation Write Home website is the Get Inspired with pictures of the troops and their cards. How can you not be inspired when you see their smiling faces in the midst of such sacrifice on their part?

Soldiers have a special place in my heart. My brother recently retired from the Army after 20 years of service. My sister is retired from the Air Force. My uncle fought in Vietnam. And my grandpa fought in WW2.
