Santa's Gift Bag

The students at my school have been sooooo good this year... especially turning in their Campbell's Labels for Education program labels.  So we were able to order (and deliver) a Santa's gift bag of balls for each class (2 basketballs, 2 soccer balls, 2 footballs, and 2 playground balls for 36 classes).  Ho! Ho! Ho!

Look at the great image on the tag!  Of course, it's a Doodle Dragon Studios image!  Nothing fancy, but super cute!  I've been busy making tags for our teacher/faculty gifts too.  Watch the post soon.  Merry Christmas!

Dreaming of White Sand

Okay, I'm cheating.  This is a project I did last Christmas, but it's one of my favorites!  So I thought I'd share it again.   I'm sooooo ready to get on a plane and go somewhere warm and fun!  Not just because of the cold and snow, but it would be amazing to take a much needed break from reality.

Wait... for the record... this for the new Doodle Dragon Studios Red & Green Challenge.  Make a project using one of Dustin's DDS images and incorporate the red and green theme.  Then post your masterpiece on to the DDS challenge by Sunday, December 9th.

To make the palm leaves, simply put the lei out flat, then fold it in half. There should be four layers. Then tie a ribbon (I used brown raffia) in the middle. Thread through your ornaments and tag. Then tie to the bottle. This is also super cute when you attach it to an A&W Rootbeer 2 liter (instead of pina colada mixer). It looks like a real palm tree.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Supplies:
Doodle Dragon Studios image - Monkey Palm Tree
Pina Colada mixer
Lei
Mini Christmas ornaments (Target Dollar Section)
Pop Dots
Glossy Accents (on tree trunk & ornaments monkeys are holding)

DDS Anything But A Card Challenge

Are you ready for another Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge? Are you ready for Christmas? Do you need a little break to do something crafty? Then join the Doodle Dragon Studios Design Team in an Anything But A Card Challenge. Be sure to link it before Sunday, December 25th (Merry Christmas!).

This project is dedicated to all those who are over having a "white Christmas" and are dreaming of "just another day in paradise." For the record, I'm first in line! I know it sounds funny that I'm not a snow fan, living in Utah with the greatest snow on earth, but it's true. Snow is pretty in the mountains and on Christmas Eve/Day. Other than that, it can stay high up in the mountains until I want to come visit it. When we lived in San Diego I didn't miss the snow a bit. Especially when I was Christmas shopping in my shorts!

Love the Target Dollar Section

This project is super simple and super cheap. I found this cute sparkle snowflake journal in the dollar section at Target! To spruce it up alittle, I tied ribbons on the coil and added one of my favorite images from Dustin Pike's/Doodle Dragon Studios new 100 Days of Christmas set with a glossy nose. My daughter loved it!

Operation Write Home Blog Hop with Christmas Candy

Ho! Ho! Ho! Thanks for stopping by today! The Operation Write Home Christmas Blog Hop has been amazing so far!

Can you believe it's only 85 days until Christmas? I am lucky to be surrounded by family and friends during the holidays. But I know how hard it is to have loved ones far away. My sister served in the Air Force and my brother in the Army. I remember we would count the days until we were to see each other again. I support Operation Write Home because I am thankful for the sacrifices so many families give to our country. Hopefully, my cards will put a smile on someone's face, making the miles and days seem closer to those they love.

Supplies:
Doodle Dragon Studios image - 100 Days of Christmas set
Heidi Swapp - chipboard letters
Imaginisce - Cottage Christmas - Peppermint Stick patterned paper
American Crafts cardstock
Pop dots

Bingo!

Bingo! I figured out my dilemma yesterday. Instead of hitting six stores, I only hit one. It was so worth it! I designed two cards with the new December Membership digis. But you'll have to wait for the sun to come up so I can take the pictures. In the meantime, here's a Christmas card for you!

38 Days Until Christmas...

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas here in Utah. It snowed earlier this week and will snow again this weekend. I like snow in the mountains and on Christmas. Yeah, I'm thinking I live in the wrong place for that type of attitude. I'm sooooo ready to get on an airplane! I think I should meet Santa & Frosty in Cancun. (I used actual pictures from our Cancun trip for the backgrounds and PSE the wording). Man, I really miss the beach.

Only 38 more days until Christmas! Are you ready?
