Memorial Weekend Blog Hop.
Today while at the airport, I witnessed a total stranger walk up to a man in uniform and thank him for his service to our country. I felt privileged to have seen the touching exchange. I love those who serve in the military. My grandfather served in World War 2, my brother served (also in Deseret Storm) and retired from the Army, and my sister served in the Air Force. So I have a soft spot for our service men and women.
Everyone has their own way of supporting and thanking those who serve our great country. I think Operation Write Home's program is an amazing way to thank AND help lift the spirits of those who serve and their families with the creative cards that are lovingly made.
